Procom Announces New Version of Its Award Winning CD Force
Cross-Platform CD-ROM Networking Software

Latest CD FORCE Release from Procom Adds Windows NT Domain Functions to CD-ROM
Networking Solutions

IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Procom Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRCM - news) today announced CD FORCE
2.0, the latest version of its CD FORCE embedded software. CD FORCE 2.0, when used in conjunction with Procom's
CD-ROM networking solutions, provides network administrators with unparalleled flexibility in distributing CD-ROM based
data to all users. Version 2.0 adds Windows NT Domain Services support, new application launcher ''Network Pilot'' and a
Netscape/Internet Explorer plug-in to map CD-ROM volumes.

CD FORCE 2.0 adds Windows NT Domain support which reduces administration and setup by approximately 90%. This
eliminates the need for administrators to re-key user and group data into the CD FORCE server. Instead the CD FORCE
server is updated from an Window NT Server. Administrators can now easily provide CD-ROM access at a workgroup or
user level.

''The addition of Windows NT Domain Services support is an important milestone for Procom,'' said Page Tagizad, Procom's
Director of Product Management. ''This added feature allows CD FORCE to effortlessly integrate into NT Server networks.
Windows NT Server is expected to gain more market share into the next century and the addition of NT Domain Services
support in CD FORCE puts Procom in a strong position to provide state of the art CD-ROM networking solutions for these
NT Server environments.''

Network Pilot is an easy-to-use ''express setup'' utility that simplifies the users' access to CD-ROM resources, while reducing
administration and setup time. With Network Pilot, the network administer can setup all CD-ROM resources and launch
applications. Network Pilot automatically downloads the CD-ROM launch information and appropriate icons to all users while
monitoring access privileges.

The Netscape/Internet Explorer plug-in allows users to map a CD to a drive letter directly from the web browser. This feature
plays an important role as more applications are made available on the Internet. Try a live CD FORCE Demo at
