Hey Dave,

Thanks for the response. Many UCLA students that I know have gone to Maui Beach Cafe and all of them enjoyed it. One of my Hawaiian friends says that it is like a Hawaiian restaurant called Roy's and the head chef worked under Roy in Hawaii. So I guess it is somewhat authentic! She said that the atmosphere was more upscale in Hawaii, but less modern.

Hey Dave,
I went to Maui on Wednesday for dinner. They have changed their menu and to my disappointment, they eliminated my favorite item, the steak sandwich. They are also emphasizing wine more than they did previously.

Also, KISS FM 102.7 had a meal at Maui Beach Cafe today with their chef, Mako. It was very favorable publicity in my opinion. They have closed their Manhattan Beach location and are focused only on the Westwood location for now, I guess.

Their web site has moved: mauibeachcafe.com

It has been enhanced, though it seems calmer now.

Well, just thought I'd share the updates. I'll see you on the RAIN page.
