House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) slammed White House spokesman Jay Carney as a “paid liar” Sunday over the administration’s handling of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) scandal. “Their paid liar, their spokesperson, the picture behind, he’s still making up things about what happened and calling this a local rogue,” Issa said, referring to Carney. Issa claims there are “indications” that the order to scrutinize Tea Party groups for tax-exempt status came “right out of Washington.” His baseless implication is that local IRS field agents took their orders directly from the White House, although Issa has so far failed to produce evidence of that. The fact that Issa’s latest claims appear to be failing apart before they can even take flight may complicate matters for him. In a vacuum, this sounds bad. Why was Washington asking about tax-exempt status applications? But the transcript doesn’t tell you that the “technical unit” of the IRS division that handled applications for tax-exempt status was located in — wait for it — Washington D.C. A timeline included in the IG’s report last month detailed many interactions between the “technical unit,” in Washington, and the “determinations unit,” in Cincinnati. In a manner similar to how Fast and Furious transpired during the previous two years, each subsequent claim or implication is slowly being debunked one by one. And in that sense, Issa may be correct when he says the “whole truth” will eventually be revealed. The Whole Truth being that his latest attempt to back up his earlier (2011) claims that this is the most corrupt administration in history is another failure.

Can you possibly explain why Obama and others in the WH met with the head of IRS 150 times? Uh......no. Because the WH didn't meet with the IRS 150 times: (CNN) – In the early days of President Barack Obama's sweeping new health care law, Douglas Shulman, then the commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, was cleared to visit the White House 157 times over three years, official visitor logs show. More than 50 of Douglas Shulman's scheduled visits are described as "health care meetings" or "health care reform meetings," according to the visitor logs. Arrival times are only listed for 11 of his visits, and it's not unusual for a person to appear on the visitor logs - which are derived from Secret Service clearance lists - without actually having visited the White House. The majority of the visits were set to be held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which houses office suites for administration aides. What possible reason there could be for that? Many reasons.......for one, Obamacare and its impact on tax issues required considerable input.......esp because it was very new legislation. But even then, it turns out Shulman only met 11 times over this issue over a 3 year period. Why the fuck won't your pols do their jobs in Congress instead of chasing ghosts in the wind? Its absolutely sickening how much tax money your people are wasting over BS.
