Austin is the true success story with one caveat........despite all the tech, it rarely grows its own companies to any size.
That's being said about Boston too.

From what I understand that's fairly new. Boston used to grow them so they were fairly big. What I've noticed lately is that Boston seems more focused on biotech. I own some ARIA shares and a while back, I was reading an article which stated that ARIA was part of a group of biotechs coming of age in Boston. The article didn't sound like a puff piece.
