There's a reason why half of all Americans pay next to nothing in federal income taxes, because it's the sharpest progressive tax in the nation.

First it's not true that they pay nothing...the upper 20% they pay payroll taxes on 100% of their income, they save nothing so they pay sales taxes on everything they make that is taxable, and then they pay "nothing" because they don't make much...lastly, I think you meant to say that fed taxes have the sharpest progressiveness in the world, not the nation...if you think so, consider the following.
