John,
I really bought some ASND calls (for protection) this PM,
and even more puts (for gain) in the morning.

A takeover would be too good to be true, and the
premium (at $40) asked by ASNDs CEO seems to be too much.
I expect some volatility next week and hope for
a good timing selling my puts and calls.

ASND was real pain during the last months.
Sold my stocks and bought some Jan99 calls (60) instead.

This leaves room for other activities while ASND recovers.

I must admit that ALTR wasn't very exciting the last two days,
but on Monday and Tuesday... Well, I was lucky,
only had some XLNX calls sold on monday, bought puts instead
and sold them on tuesday. This WAS exciting (and an unusual
case since one could use me as an excellent contra-idicator).
I think ALTR shareholders were even more excited.
I'm long VLSI @20, this stock generates excitement too.
Please let me know what is more exciting than these
volatile stocks?
(SEX, I know, but what else?)

Andy
