I think that right now, AMTD is targeted at the "rookie" investor. If your're the kind of guy who needs split-second service for complex trades, then I'd go with a more full-service type brokerage. AMTD works for investors like me, who aren't making split-second decisions based on intraday fluctuations. And these sort of people are exactly the ones pouring into the market, and the ones AMTD is targeting with its new advertising: "rookies" who want to get money into stocks without forking over high commissions for services they don't need.

It will be great when AMTD can satisfy expert investors like you as well as small-time folks like myself, who place trades for a few thousand dollars' worth of stock at a time. Heck, I don't like being put on hold either. Right now, it's simple and cheap, and it works for me.
