Hi Doug,

Good job. Excellent analysis! I am guessing that 1998 will be the year that DVD make serious inroads into the mainstream. At the end of last year, many thought that 1997 would be the year. I thought that those predictions were premature. I do think that now we are much closer and that by the end of 1998 most if not all big box makers like DELL, GATEWAY, MICRON, CPQ, IBM, HP, etc. will be selling a lot of machines with DVD. Many box makers currently offer Soundblaster products as an upgrade to a lesser alternative. Hopefully, you are right and CREAF can ink a couple deals with some of the big OEM's to sell entire DVD/Multmedia solutions installed on their PC's. This would be a key addition to their strong aftermarket business.

Thanks again for your thoughtful post,

FF

Doug

Can I ask you where I can get a copy of the annual report? I searched
the SEC archives couldn't find it there (may be 'cuase this is an ADR)
I couldn't find a electronic copy at creaf's web site either.

Thanks
prakash

Doug, looks like you beat me to posting it! Totally agree with you. Over the next several months, CREAF will fly due to OEM partnership announcements.

Also, just wanted to add that I have read the breakdown to be 80% retail, 20% OEM.

The other thing that really struck me was the increase in Accounts recievable over last year. That was in addition to a reduction in inventory by around 60%. This was mainly due to a decrease in raw materials. I think that is because CREAF now makes a lot of their own to cut costs.

Have you had a chance to read the proxy? I must admit I don't truly understand number 5, so maybe someone could explain it to me! :o)
