John, w/r/t the following statement in your above referenced post,
(just as a side note.... when you do a careful reading of the Gospels.... we find that this was the only time that Jesus utilized physical force... and the threat of physical force in the Bible.... do a google image search on Jesus clearing the temple of the money changers.)
the following should be noted by yourself and others as it is often overlooked in the particular bible thumping done. As far as that being the only time Yeshua was angry and it captured in Holy Writ, one would have to have a discussion with the "board of King James" to see what was left on the "scrolls' cutting room floor"......

Yeshua did NOT have a problem with the money changers in the temple. Theirs was a vital function, a necessary business service to facilitate the travelers on their required atonement pilgrimages to Jerusalem. Boothes were set up in the "commoner area" of the temple grounds, not in the sacred inner sanctum as it were for "the money changers."

You see, John, in that era of required blood sacrifice for the efficacious atonement of sin ritual, there was absolutely NO WAY the penitent traveling long distances to Jerusalem from all the outliers of Judea could bring an unblemished live animal into the temple grounds for the ritual. These unblemished live animals were for the High Priest to slaughter and do the bloody application ritual for each penitent family member of all of the tribes of Judah. Those money changers were perfectly acceptable business practice.

What was NOT acceptable and angered the Christed One was the fact the "money changers" were selling BLEMISHED animals for the pilgrims' blood sacrifices. Usually they were some species of doves, priced at a mite or two, which were affordable by even the poorest traveler from afar. In those days of foot and/or donkey/mule travel, it was inconceivable that each pilgrim could bring, feed, and water a live, unblemished animal all the way across the desert and still have it arrive alive and suitable for the blood sacrifice in most instances.

It was entirely suitable for the Unblemished Yeshua to get angry that his future assigned death on the cross for all was being represented by sick and maimed doves, lambs, etc., within the temple grounds.

His upset had NOTHING to do with the necessity and convenience of currency exchanges for the non-local travelers from the far flung regions of Judea. It is perfectly logical many travelers came with their differing local currencies to do business on the temple grounds.

You suggested people could find images of the angry Christed One. In the Wiki image, did you not see the cage at the feet of the moneychanger, which contained several doves as well as a larger animal, off to the right of the caged birds. Then there are the large and small animals' rear flanks showing in the lower LH of same painting?

Buying and selling within the temple confines was not the crime modern homileticists proclaim.

................
Now to a second point you attempt to define/confine:

it would be my suggestion that if you are going to quote the Bretton-Woods currency accord "highlights" you should be inclusive of the entire "big picture" as far as your seeking to illustrate the "Key Currency."

Bretton-Woods was ALWAYS envisioned to be a 3 Key Currency model, not the zenophobic US$ one again as has been popularized by those not studying history or actually handling the actual historical records of this particular "summit/accord" back in the 40s here stateside. This was one of the longest running summits ever on record, months and months and MONTHS of work conducted on US soil by the over 140 differing nations who sent representatives to participate in crafting and nuancing this particular "accord" post WWII

The 3 Key Currencies were identified not only as the US$ but also the "European Monetary Unit" (EMU changed to EURO) and the "Asian Monetary Unit" (AMU altho' it has not been clearly identified in its entirety nor "renamed" from the AMU moniker as of this date.)

I've written long and often on this much overlooked parsing right here on SI in point of fact, ever since I requested of my "congressional unit's aide" to locate and print out for my personal viewing consumption. This took place many years ago. And I received the US congressional/historical records where these three KEY CURRENCIES were spelled out along with the creation and funding of the IMF enshrined in our "legal speak."

I did enjoy the rest of your posted contribution.

G'day, sir.
