Many were looking for a pullback and I think The market is torn about rising interest rates and possible strengthening in the economy. This at the expense of the FED backing off the easy policy. IMO At this point in time. I don't think the economy will be overheating from growth. We have three more years of this administration. I think the market is becoming accustom to riding with what it was dealt. IMO This might not be a bad thing as the slow growth might keep the FED at a standstill. This keeping the market sideways for awhile as it tries to figure out direction. As a hole. I think future corporate earnings growth might not be discounted in the market yet. From my memory that stock prices usually mover before earnings accelerate. Three years of slow growth? Of coarse, I could be wrong. Which is why I like picking individual stock. Knowing economics and there effect on companies is useful, but it doesn't bring you in cash. Trying to figure what companies will do well in this economic environment is part of adjusting to markets. That's for investors like myself that will choose to weather the storm, and who will be long on a good % of their investments. Part of the reasoning why I buy untimely companies. I think many specialty professional portfolio managers are to much prone to the flavor of the month club because they need to show performance
