The article that originated this thread stated very clearly that Walmart's underpaying of employees is part of the reason its experiencing so many problems with their earnings/sales performance.
I'm pretty sure Walmart execs know full well how their wages are affecting employee turnover, job satisfaction, and customer service.

You are.......even though Walmart's performance for the last few years has been smelling up the joint? That's not very logical.

You think they need some journalist to point out the "hidden costs" of "underpaying their employees"? I assure you that these execs are laughing all the way to the bank.

Now if you don't want to shop at Walmart, that's your choice. I myself don't shop there. But apparently Walmart is successful without our patronage, so who are we to suggest otherwise?

Trust, I have never set foot in a Walmart and never will. ;)

they won't let walmart into you old county here, although I think they let one in way up outside of germantown. too far away for me
