Carolyn, with all due respect, the Constitution is not an infallible document. If the founding fathers were alive today and saw all the heinous crimes committed, they would probably amend the second ammendment. I wasn't even aware of this UN agreement since I don't watch or listen to the News. But if less deaths will result, I'm all for it. It really hasn't gone far enough, though. It makes sense, of course, that many Democrats and Republicans are opposed to this because they are probably getting kick backs from the NRA.
