Theo, I'll run the numbers again probably Monday night. No promises on the timing though but I'll include VRC, TDW, HAL, SLB as well.

"Coherent valuation/perceived valuation" - consensus valuation and temporary perception (could be intraday or 1-2 days of panic selling or irrational exuberant buying) are back in line. I would use the example of intraday out of the upper/lower BB trades as incoherent and thus a buying/selling opportunity.

The rising tide principles operate in the drillers as you pointed out. To focus on selectivity, one has to first get some sense of the current sentiment, e.g. deepwater vs shallow water vs land; and then buy the temporarily out of favored groups or sell high riding groups. For example, PDS was ahead of the pack in the last 2 weeks so it has stalled a bit lately. Overall since the land drillers have corrected the most this time I'd look for them to appreciate more percentage wise.
