Many years ago I had a friend who worked for the NSA, but he quit when asked to help spy on friendly countries. Due to a few skeletons in my own closet, I'd never get a security clearance for such sensitive work. This has the benefit of keeping me out of situations where I'd rather not be tempted to play with fire, like Snowden is now doing.
