Thanks for the information and the warning. I don't intend to continue day trading after I've made or lost my $2,000 (4 points on 500 shares.)

This is just an experience I wanted to try. I find that having a long term long position and short term day trading by selling a block of AMAT and then buying it back later the same day has me rooting against myself. (I suspect good day traders don't have emotions.)

Anyway, during an up turn, selling and later buying back is fighting the odds.
