Ed.... just to clarify your subject title... Barrons does not list IOM as a buy... H. D. Brous does. Although this research report is somewhat dated (11/12/97), the delay is common for this section of Barrons.

It is very nice news that was released when the stock was at 28. Subsequent upward move adds validity to the report and should influence serious investors much more than the baseless article Barrons carried last week. Pretty hard to ignore the raising of the target from 34 to 45. I particularly like the reference to the "near-term horizon".

Re: Time frame

Edward,

The Brous research report certainly reads less than 12 months. Clues
are " near-term horizon is extremely compelling", "engender a premium valuation", and most importantly "The key here is the rollout of n.hand." Iomega says Clik! will be out 2nd half 1998. So rollout should be July 1998 with multiple press releases and advertising announcements prior to rollout. So, imo their report has a time frame of 6-7 months maximum. Current stock prices are based on future expectations, so this is where their premium valuation comes into play, possibly early next year. Anyway you look at it, the stock is a great buy and hold now, especially with Clik! rollout on the way in '98 and a much larger market potential than ZIP.

Regards,

Dave

>raising our target to 45 (from 34)

Generic question: how far out are these "targets"
I keep hearing about?
