Tony,

Have you read the article on EGRP and how market orders executed late
end up costing investors quite a large sum of money? Now there's a
class action lawsuit going on regarding this specific issue. I would go
with LIMIT orders unless you were trying to liquidate your stock.

Tony

Exactly!!! I can't wait to read Darth's response.

Btw, you have some interesting stocks. Do you have
any 6+ months stocks to recommend ? TIA!

regards,

BPP(Bipin's partner)

You mean only use limit orders to buy and only use market orders to sell?

Do you think you are really being a better trader by hoping for that last 1/8?

I trade high RS stocks and for 2 - 5% gain, whether it takes 1 day or 1 month. I take small positions in as many as 20 companies at a time.

My trading has improved and my commissions have been cut in half by using market orders.

If the spread is excessive, than I wouldn't buy the stock. The rule of thumb is if you are day or position trading stick with good volume - high liquidity stocks or be prepared to get stuck paying the spread.

EGRP just sucks, you have to compare apples to apples. Just because they screwed some traders that doesn't mean using market orders can't be used successfully.

I would suggest that you read posts on this thread:
