Hi OJ,

I recently heard that Samsung (local TV channel interview) wanted to float a debt offering for 200 mil @17% for their capital spending. But, there were no takers for the offer. Yesterday CNN moneyline carried a story saying that none of the big Korean guys are planning to slow down the spending for fab's. It would be really interesting to see how things develop, when the korean big 3 are planning to spend about 20 billion by year 200x but can't raise 200 mil in this market. Do you know anything about it ? I want to buy into lot of semi's when the whole world hates to touch them.

Thanks,

Suresh

PS: News for gold bugs; Indonesian banks sold all their gold holdings and they have purchased US bonds from the proceeds. Didn't they know they should have invested in US stocks than dollars ? They could really have used the gain to offset some of their currency turmoil.

Jerry,

<< I see things as being wildly busy for INTC and ALL the semis
on down the road...IMO....BWDIK???? :>}....>>

I'm not sure you know as little as you lead us to believe...< BG > I think what anyone who follows the semi-equip group knows is that business is not about to fall off a cliff for these guys...They are DEEPLY oversold at present levels...Chip demand will be strong going forward and yes Mr.Kurlak those companies that don't increase their efficiency with, yes that's right NEW EQUIPMENT...will be out of luck and business as well... BWTHDIK....
