Will write about just about anything to get his name out there and does not seem to me to have any particular expertise in technology. So, so what?

Bentway,

This guy cherry picked only the negative stuff that was said about the new iOS. Some of what they say doesn't even appear to be true from what I know.

For example

<<The company's heart is in design—when it hits a bump in the road, its instinct is to rejigger how its products look>>

Apple has had the 2 best quarters in terms of revenues the past 2 quarters that they have every had. The bump in the road is not with sales but with margins.

<<The iPhone "still needs some more horsepower under the hood>>

What do you need more horsepower to do that the phone does not do right now? Android phones have "more horsepower" under the hood because of inefficiencies in the OS. Nice that Apple designs its own processors so they get to marry performance with battery life.

and the oldie but goodie

<<These days, it's the Galaxy S4 garnering the "oohs" and "ahs">>

The reviews for the Galaxy S4 were mostly lukewarm. And the comment about looking like the windows phone, to me, from what I saw, appeared to be laughable.

Spak fails to impress in his reporting about the Worldwide Developers Conference. All IMVHO.

Neal

> COOK & CO. FAIL TO IMPRESS

The pundits have been wrong so many times... mostly a bunch of journalists who know a lot less than we who have been here a long time.

I've been both critical and have praised Apple.

I have to say my feeling about the little hints they gave us is hopefully positive. More positive today than yesterday. To me its all about management maintaining intelligent design towards the future. I think they are doing it right. The Mac Pro is very intelligent. It won't work out for everyone but its a design that is looking where it should look - towards the future.
