It may not have been the most popular expectation, but a simple search of articles from the past week will reveal many people who expected an iPad 5 or news about the next iPhone, iWatch, etc.

If you cant separate the wheat from the chaff, the internet is a dangerous place.

Make that many uninformed people. People who haven't been following Apple.

Those of us who have followed Apple over the years have watched with amazement as pundits (journalists - people with degrees in literature or some other unrelated field) have tripped over their tongues with dumb statements about what Apple should or shouldn't do or what things they think Apple did that are dumb.

Mostly they've been wrong, because they didn't have a clue about what they were talking about. Most of them wouldn't know the difference between a design company like Apple and a Technology company reseller like Dell. Most of us wonder why anyone would pay them for their articles.
