The problem with the "market" is that it has been so "overvalued" for so long,.... is this really the beginning of a bear market?

I think the answer lies in Japan. If that baby implodes..watch out...it's straight down. If they take care of business however...then the Dow goes over 10,000.

P.S. I use to work for Dell...I've made a lot of money on their stock. I wouldn't short it. Their return on equity and balance sheet are solid. The deeper you dig, the better they look from a financial standpoint.

If I may say so, I saw someone else due something like this and get hit really bad. When you're short so many stocks in the same sector (computer tech), you are no longer short companies, you're short the sector. So you're vulnerable to giant moves in the sector. So while I agree with the fundamentals on every stock you've mentioned, perhaps you want to either share the wealth among some other sectors, or become 'sector neutral' by going long the same sector.

Of course, if you're shorting the sector on purpose, ignore what I've said.

Best of Luck,

BO

Hi Hank. People are so enamored of the Microsoft connection with CTXS it is hard to tell when it will go down. Also, trade press is mixed on reception of thin clients. Anecdotally, I hear the things are hard to sell, but number of vendors building them, pushing them seems to be growing. Isn't it true that "concept" stocks are tough to short -- they can be given the benefit of the doubt way beyond what is sane. (I always check your posts. You seem very wise -- not married to any stock or idea, but looking for profits with clear eyes. Why do you list your email and phone? Don't people waste your time? Are you a broker or ???)
