But they said all the action was on the retail side, indicating institutional investors were staying away. "There's all kinds of retail speculation out there," said one options trader in New York. "There's an absolute flood of retail orders. Nothing institutional." Some options participants believe institutional activity often lends credence to takeover speculation." Sorry to disagree, but there were a number of large calls purchased a few days before the ASND jump up. I saw one lot of 1000 Jan 30 calls purchased when I was buying some on Monday (12/1)afternoon, which isn't a typical "retail" amount investment. The Big Dogs were getting ready for options expiration or they knew or got wind of what was going on with ASND and LU/CPQ?,etc. <> <> jjk
