"The $15K is straight out of Obamacare" So move to SF, where the average single person silver (better than bronze) real, published, available in Oct insurance, will cost you $4200/year. If you know the other areas, the slightly higher cost is worth it. Alameda, and prolly the Peninsula, not shown, are good second choices. It's not always the cost; there's a lot to be said for "location, location, location". An extra $100/month to live in SF instead of LA is well worth it. lbbusinessjournal.com
