A burglar hopped a fence late Saturday, prowled through the backyard and broke into the Coopers’ Stanton, Calif. home in the middle of the night. Not even a barking Rottweiler scared off the intruder. Armed with a .357 Magnum revolver, Jan Cooper called 911. She was on the phone with a dispatcher when the intruder made it into her yard. “Back up, you son of a b----,” she yelled. “Back up! Get out of here! Get the hell out of here! Get your butt out! Now!” Jan Cooper fired a single shot. It missed the intruder by just a few inches, deputies said. “After I shot, there was rage that took hold,” Jan Cooper said. “My husband — he’d never heard me talk like that before.” Brandon Perez, 31, was arrested in connection with the intrusion. Pictured below, Perez is currently on probation for burglary, authorities said. At point during her 911 call, Jan Cooper seems to calm down her recently awoken husband who says his wife’s protective behavior did not surprise him. “I know her capabilities. I know what she can do, if she has to and she’s quite capable,” said Bob Cooper, 85, an Army veteran and decorated intelligence officer. However, "not subject to retaliation" is "a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring." ('Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2). In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law. (the libs love this part about sharia Law)

The tipster told police that the family killed the girl shortly after deciding her fate at a family council meeting. Her body was then buried under a chicken pen.

The girl's family then reported her missing to the police. Police say that the girl had complained two months earlier that her grandfather beat her for talking to boys. Police, who identified the girl only by her initials, M.M., said she had significant amount of soil in her stomach and lungs, indicating she had been buried while still alive. "The autopsy result is blood-curdling. According to our findings, the girl - who had no bruises on her body and no sign of narcotics or poison in her blood - was alive and fully conscious when she was buried," one source reported. Police have arrested the girl's father, mother and grandfather. The mother has been released, but the father and grandfather remain in jail awaiting trial. The case is expected to bring highlight the issue of so-called "honor" killings in Turkey. Official statistics show that more than 200 such killings occur each year, accounting for nearly half of all murders in Turkey.

... in 2010 more than 48,000 felons tried to buy guns illegally. The Department of Justice attempted to prosecute just 44 of them. Not 44,000. Forty-four. .... Obama et al. want to put more gun laws on the books not to get after felons, but to make it more difficult for law-abiding Americans to obtain firearms. A cynic might conclude that the administration might be interested in allowing violent felons to obtain guns so that when they commit violence with those guns, calls to weaken the Second Amendment might find a receptive populace.
