DOLE/FDP: I sold my DOLE shares after the announcement and stock rise above offering price. I don't anticipate the offering being increased, given that Mr. Murdock apparently holds close to 40% of the stock.

Perhaps the controlling stockholders at Fresh Del Monte will now consider taking FDP private.
In Tuesday's Barron's, two analysts from Janney Capital Markets say, "We share Mr. Murdock's upbeat outlook for the long-term value of tropical-fruit land and logistics assets relative to the present valuation, and note that both Chiquita Brands International (CQB) (rated at Buy) (trading at seven times EV/Ebitda) and Fresh Del Monte Produce (FDP) (rated at Buy) (7.8 times EV/Ebitda) look even more attractive at large discounts to the price offered (10.1 times EV/Ebitda) by Mr. Murdock for Dole today."

I don't have shares of CQB. I'll continue maintaining my position in FDP .
