Your entire argument is "Bush was worse", yet you're telling me to be "objective". The whole idea of objectivity is to look at things without political bias. So why not look at this issue reasonably?

No....my point is that bush was doing worse and you were not one of his critics on the subject. Now suddenly you have found concern...obama is briefing congress, going through FISA...bush was wiretapping folks without any oversight, court or otherwise...i think obama is the more responsible president.

Second point...when there is an attack in this country, people like you will lead the charge attacking the government for not doing more...the boston incident showed us that...so the man is damned either way...he probably figures he may as well err on the side of people's safety.

Bush or Obama -- ought to be getting a list of every phone call made in US, for whatever reason, just raises some serious questions related to the 4th Amendment. It isn't something we should discount willy-nilly. As to it being a classified program, I'm not sure what the point of that is.

Second guessing without inside knowledge...I am not sure what the point of THAT is.

Al

Redskins Recruit GOP Spin Doc to Shop New Name

FRANK LUNTZ ASKS FOCUS GROUP WHETHER NAME IS OFFENSIVE

( Did the focus group include ANY native Americans? )

(NEWSER) – GOP strategist Frank Luntz—the guy who got the party to stop saying "estate tax" and "healthcare reform" and start using "death tax" and "government takeover of healthcare"—is tackling a different kind of linguistic problem at the moment. His strategy group is holding a focus group which may determine whether the Washington Redskins should finally change their controversial name, ThinkProgress reports.

Luntz won't comment, but an email survey from his firm circulated last week to find participants for the group was asking many questions directly about the Redskins, including the question, "Which of the following best reflects your opinion of the NFL team name 'Washington Redskins'?" Multiple choice answers include. "I find the name offensive and they should change it" and "I don’t find the name offensive and they should keep it as is."
