When I want power, I want power and in fact a smaller form factor is better - why should I get a big beast that takes up space and gets in the way?
And I'd expect we'll see Apple or a third party create some sort of breakout box that can lay in a closet or another room to carry all your cards and drives. A sexy black box.

Pros are some of the crankiest users alive. I guess we have a lot of stress…and are the most discerning.

VINDICATED!!! The pup said so so it is so.

Interesting. That's what I thought, these are going to be great for purely computational projects.

RE: Mac Pro another comment

Oh yeah - Mac Pro expansion -

remember back in the "good old days" if you had external storage either in the form of interface (like SCSI) or Rube Goldberg wires snaking out of the box, if you disconnected you ran the real risk of digitally of physically damaging your data, hard drive and possibly even internal electronics. Things were not "hot swappable" unless you paid the really big bucks.

NOwadays you accidentally or purposefully disconnect and the computer will scold you and likely no damage at all except to your pride.

Or you cat's pride, cause she pulled the cable out.
