Where did you get $8000 as the cost of building a DVG?

My guess would be 10% of that, at the MOST.

Anybody got a better handle on this?

I believe the 250 voice servers are for FNET. Ther others are to be sold. Probably to the likes of ATT, GE, WCOM and others that were at NY, running BETA tests and don't forget about the other countries that are about to come on board in 1998.
