As a top digital and conventional bottleneck carrier of a diversity of shows, Comcast should NEVER be allowed to buy and control content or networks. Oops too late.

K street is a tight bunch, the politically appointed leadership at FCC is, to a large degree, an arm of those they regulate. Its a big bed of interchangeable lobbyists/lawyers with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Big Oil, along with Wall Street and Pharma; and all the other usual suspects of "Industry Associations." I'm sure Comcast "suits" want to play ball with the big-boys there who dwarf them, against effective regulation or legislation for promoting competition. Climate change spinning Big Oil can also reward or punish networks with targeting significant ad buys and cancellations.

Even NOVA (Sponsored by David Koch) on PBS is conspicuously careful with wording (whose lawyers get a last chance to edit it? Inquiring minds...) when dealing with climate change on their program. Listen for it you can almost visualize the words that were replaced. Likewise and even worse, the chances of Comcast crusading for truth on such matters is nil. Its gonna be a tap dance and enabling rhetoric, like with evolution vs. creationism in education.
