I always like to buy/enter when things get washed out. Then even if my short term timing is
off which can make a 5% difference easy during the hard-down periods, I know if I wait
I'll make a lot of money. Works every time. But those times don't happen all that often.
Personally I hate these stair-step periods. They stair-step until it is finally time, after everyone
has fallen asleep, for a serious correction. Then you give a lot back.

You have to scalp a few percent here and there and hope you don't give it back on the
next effort.

Brutal selloffs are so much more fun and so much more profitable.
