Curious logic to go short after a $200 million dollar deal is announced on a greatly oversold stock. Obviously, the time to have shorted ALTN was last year - any point after the HMRI bail. Risk, as I've mentioned many times, was at an all time high and you could have ridden ALTN down from 18 to 2-1/2. If you're just trying to skim $1 or so, the potential is clearly much higher on the long side. But good luck to the shorts. If ALTN does happen to drop to your target of $7/share, I'll be a buyer same as you both. If not, I'm more than pleased with my current (long) position. Cheers! Rudy

Noticed many large blocks changing hands last two days.Smart players were using the news as their opportunity to exit with a nice profit for the year. For those holding out for more, don't hold your breath.News fron thursday is fast becoming history and most of the buying off of it has passed us by.
Only ones buying at these prices are scared shorts or late suckers (no offense intended,as these are the people us shorts make our living from).
In the long run investors here will likely do well. But for now this stock has only one way to go.DOWN!!!The buyers here are near done and as current shareholders realize that we have topped out there will be the usual rush for the exit to lock up those profits.
Current shareholders who wish to stay long for a while will do best selling their stock monday and buying it back 15-20% cheaper a week
later.First out the door gets the best price.
