Investors Snatch DPM Even Cheaper Than Its Secondary Stock Offering
Looking back to 75 days ago, DCP Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: DPM) priced a 9,000,000 share secondary stock offering at $50.04 per share. Buyers in that offering made a considerable investment into the company, expecting that their investment would go up over the course of time. In trading on Monday, bargain hunters could buy shares of DPM and achieve a cost basis 4.0% cheaper than those buyers, with shares changing hands as low as $48.02 per share.
I like both companies and now have equal weight of each company in the portfolio. DPM will be benefiting from their LNG export facility mid 2014. In 2014 distributions will increase (if not earlier). For me a great long term value proposition as I was able to add below the secondary price of $50.00/share.
