Does anyone know if they sell fab equipment other than (possibly) DUV lasers? Komatsu and Formosa Plastic have a JV in Taiwan to produce 8in silicon wafer. There is also a Komatsu Silicon America that does same thing . Also there is a Opto-electronics Operations that does packaging and testing. Lastly, there is such a outfit called Komatsu Semiconductors Corp.

1. KrF products were on display, not ArF. I was told by Cymer that ArF was "a long ways away". 2. Good points. I would say that since the Nikon guy responded without blinking that "Komatsu offers better service in Japan" as if it were almost expected, I would say that Cymer is not making full use of it's manufacturing people at Seiko to get close to the stepper companies/device manufacturers and offer full service. If they were to use Seiko also as a service and sales base, I think Cymer would be able to offer good service. Also, since they only had a U.S. address in the product guide, I am worried that the U.S. team is in control of sales. This would not be good. It is important to have people placed locally who can make decisions in realtime. 3. You're right. I think everyone is going to want to go to 0.25um. Good luck....get it together Cymer!!! THC
