I'm curious about how factual the information on institutional ownership is. I know that a few institutions do not reveal their ownership position for 18 months. Is there a reliable source for this data? Does anyone have anything but anecdotal information about the meaning of this data?

I would be happy to pay for a comprehensive, reliable source of insider and institutional buys and sells, but I haven't been able to find one.

BTW, I'm amused that someone who speaks the language of 'dead cats' and lines on charts also is looking for 'facts'. More and more I try to tune out the engine noise. But its hard to know what a fact is with these sorts of companies.

dd: Thanks for your post re: Wall St. Interactive. Very interesting. Do you have their URL? My boys & I would be most appreciative.

So, I guess my 38% total (funds & banks) was way low. Given that, my caution noted previously (to Bill) gets amplified 50%.

Q: Do you have any other useful sources of information you might wish to share at this time? Mine tend to be the off-line sort re: Mansfield Chart Service, Daily Graphs and a smattering of analysts reports. Not so state-of-the-art, but handy at picnics!
