It was obvious to any thinking person at the outset that this would happen.

I argued with innumerable liberal nutjobs about it, and they just couldn't CONCEIVE of the idea that businesses would act so as to minimize costs.

Walmart is the tip of the iceberg -- they only employ between 1-2 million in the US. With unemployment where it is, it is a buyer's market. WTF did they expect?
