unions kill jobs and businesses seen it time after time.

things were good in the 50s and 60s because we were the only country left with the capabilities to manuf. stuff after the world wide destruction of ww 2.

You cannot use capitalism to run a
society. Capitalism is a tool of society. Democracy must run a
society.

And unions do a better job of making sure the middle class Is
paid a fair wage and jobs are safe than your little man in the sky-lol.

Our country worked best when unions were strong like the 50's and 60's,
when we had a vibrant middle class. When Reagan started destroying unions wages
fell and the middle class was decimated.

Koan, I used to think that you had half a brain. Now I realize that I was mistaken:

Free market enterprise is not a form of government but a bedrock principle of free societies

We don't live in a democracy - we live in a constitutional republic. Our constitution protects the rights / liberties of the individual . Democracies ultimately result in mob rule in which the majority can violate the rights and liberties of the individual.

Unions are the worst enemy of the worker - causing off-shoring, automation and exposing the corporation to competition. They price themselves out of a job.

Reagan was by far the best president of my lifetime and put the country back onto the road to prosperity.

Every time that you post, I keep thinking of this exchange in the movie Defending Your Life:

Bob Diamond
- "Being from earth as you are and using as little of your brain as you do, your life has pretty much been devoted to dealing with fear."
Daniel Miller -
It has?"
Bob Diamond - "Everybody on earth deals with fear. That's what 'little brains' do."
Daniel Miller - "What are 'little brains'?"

Bob Diamond - "That's what we call you folks behind your back."

unions

Unions do what Economists call "Rent Seeking." They go after unearned income. Same thing every businessman does when he tries to get a special deal from the Government. Same thing we all do when we try to get "something for nothing."

When you do that, you are trying to violate the First Law of Thermodynamics. That's one of "Mr Markets" rules also.
