You should know the answer and not need to ask me. You constantly make the same mistake called in economics "ad hoc ergo proptor hoc" which is the fallacy of "that is therefore because of this".

E.g. you cannot say things were better a hundred and fifty years ago because people wanted to come here and there were no unions.

People have always wanted to come here. You make these connections which make no sense.

Things were not better for anyone 160 years ago. We had slavery and segregation, black chain gangs and the poor had no support from society. Women could not vote and had few rights.

Right now there is less violence than at any time in history.
