I'm not sure if this has anything to do with MCRE stock action of late but wasn't it speculated awhile ago that MCRE/RTG technology could somehow find its way onboard a chip ? After all don't they have some kind of relationship with Real3D of Lockheed ? Well perhaps MCRE's run up shy of $ 20 was based on speculation that Intel in theory could license RTG technology onboard its 3D chip ? real3d.com Anyway, according to a recent WSJ article (11/17/97), "Chips, Software Giants Don't Rule Joystick of Graphics", the 3D acceleration market has 3D products on the market. For example, 3dfx (ticker TDFX) reported earnings 12/3 and Friday their stock jumped $ 4 15/16th on heavy volume. Why ? Read this, 3dfx.com Now I'm just speculating that the 3D acceleration market could have some real competition already in place for MCRE/RTG 3D acceleration. If thats the case than could that be a factor in MCRE stock weakness of late ? Look at another chip related company, CUBE, Asian finance woes, as well as perecived MPEG-2 chip competition, could be impacting upon CUBE's stock price too ?
