I'm not an options expert, I'm working on them as a portfolio hedge. But i was noting the risk of writing (selling) naked calls. Infinite risk, limited upside. I just like the idea of writing covered calls - the only risk is it can force you to sell a position you like for the long term. In names i really like long term, I either don't write calls against the whole thing or I use different strike prices. i also wait until an up day in the stock to write the calls, they're easier to sell then.

Thanks. Yeah, I lost investment (5 grand) looks like. 'less Oracle rebounds strong and fast. Tempted to buy a shitload of feb 25s. Friends at Oracle still way gung-ho. Reading financials, appears reaction quite exagerated. Later
