No problem. It has been my practice on SI to call people on it when honorable people are being victimized by posts intended to cast aspersions on their character... or when dishonorable people are attempting to perpetrate falsehoods for partisan benefit, which is pretty much the same thing. When I'm not sure I keep my mouth shut or query the poster a bit, but when something like that is obvious I feel the obligation to hold their feet to the fire. When there is poison going back and forth I just figure it aint my thing and let it go...most of the time. tejek and Shepard started throwing the term 'racist' out as a ploy, and where it was obviously inapplicable. I personally feel the harm done to the genuine issue of racial hatred and the risks and consequences of rendering the term 'racist' to become meaningless via such nonsense. So my first attempts were to clarify the importance and 'racism' as an authentic term that should only be used where it clearly applies.... beyond that I will have no patience with people attempting to knit-wits. Anyway, if Ted is lying, so what? He's just another guy on the Internets. I'm not buying anything from him. Of course we have all learned what to expect from the guy. No expectation or surprise there. However, I am responding to my conscience, not tejek.
