If "Yes We Scan" was used to catch actual criminals, it might even be reasonable, but it appears the Prism Yard is intended to keep We the Sheople penned in to be fleeced and consumed at will. It's the cash flow they are after, not protection of the sheople other than "protection" as provided by the Mafia for protection money. What is frightening is that We the Sheople go on voting to be fleeced and consumed, election after election for decades, centuries and millennia. The tribal life is so attractive that they want to be treated as state serfs. They get meaning in their life by "being part of something bigger than yourself". So they hand over, voluntarily, half their earnings to the leviathan state, singing patriotic songs while doing so, then, for good measure, send another tithe to the supernatural authorities of their choice to escape the temporal life altogether. It's frightening because there is no externality for the non-compliant to escape to. It's life inside the chimp cage with no bars between me and the chimps who enjoy Stockholm Syndrome writ large.
