Well Esteban as far as Island goes, I am becoming more concerned that it is not that MM's trade around Island, but that Datek is itself trading around Island. How else could they have more volume then Island. In addition it is clear from the NasdaqTrader site that Island doesn't have near the liquidity of Selectnet with it's myriad of MM's each of which have their own limit books.

With better Java implementations as we are seeing and higher speed Internet access Web Street can only improve. They definetly seem to have the best vision to date. I have seen some pretty good real-time java applets, even one on pcquote.com. It appears that Java has the ability, even within an HTML page, to circumvent the inherent speed limitations of HTTP. I am investigating this further as I am moving my company into the Java development field. Bottom line is, I hope that Web Street keeps improving upon their vision. They definetly are putting together a quintesssential trading system. (And talk about bringing those fees down to earth)!

AUTOMATIC TRADE EXECUTION NOTIFICATION

Esteban,

We have just recently released the next generation of the
"Trading Pit". Trade executions, both market orders and
limit orders, as well as order cancellations, pop up dynamically
on the Trading Pit. So now, not only can you watch your positions
automatically update in real time ($29.95) on the same page you execute your trades, there is no need to do any clicking to see your
fills or cancellations.

In addition, we plan to release in January an advanced order entry
system that will make the order entry process even quicker than it is now.

As you might have already realized, we have one goal in mind; to
build the most efficient trading system and give the best in customer service.

Best regards,

Joseph Fox
