What on earth would MSFT do with the feature phone division - the Asha line?

I'd prefer it if them Finns stick it out on their own and Nokia remained an independent company. I think Microsoft would prefer this too. I do believe Nokia can and will see greatness, be a top player again and is making all the right moves.

But if Microsoft really did want to get in to the cell phone manufacturing business, Nokia would certainly be the crown jewel.

I just don't believe this is going to happen unless Nokia really, strongly wants themselves to be acquired; in which case Microsoft might buy Nokia as a defensive move.

If this does happen you can be sure all those who were calling Elop the Manchurian CEO will be saying "we told you so." :)
