Isn't USR doing software modem? All their modems are DSP based. If they want to port the codes to Pentium, I don't think they will encounter any difficulty. Maybe some day USR will be a software giant with emphasis on communications.

Oh yeah? Well, this brick-like thing that my big toe keeps hitting up against happens to be a very hard Motorola cable modem.
