Hi Tom, I've played the same scenario with distressed sectors. Gold certainly is distressed... how's that for understatement! Have been considering getting in but will wait (except for some quick trades on extreme over selling within downtrend), until the average cost of production price and spot market price get within a 15-25% of each other... more in line with titanium or copper industries. With so many central banks defecting ownership it may be awhile yet. Almost in there with you on semi's. Have a good day.

Jim

Tom,

I am also looking at the washed out indexes = SOX,DDX. These are the only 2 indexes which are still in/near the oversold region per my short-term technicals.

Basicly the overall market including some of the HiTech sectors are now overbought per my short-term technicals. Even the IIX and XCI(INTERNET & COMPUTER INDEXES) are already in the upper middle range just a bit short of overbought.

I feel that sometime next week, as early as Monday, we could see some flatness or a technical pullback. If the SOX or the DDX approaches a CLASS 1 or 2 BUY, I think I will be in also with Jan calls.
