Not easy at all: being efficient online while protecting one's privacy. Subscribing to one of the many VPN services (Virtual Private Network) or, better, anonymizing one's presence by using the Tor browser will help but neither solution is perfectly safe and can be cumbersome, or slow. But then, so is wearing chainmail... As a minimum, I have come to avoid Google for searches, using instead STARTPAGE.COM and DUCKDUCKGO.COM. With these, of course, I won't get "customized" search results. I just read an article about an Australian investment fund who are, right now, very busy buying stock in junior miners. "Nobody likes them", "excellent value" etc etc. They point out that they do stick to companies with solid balance sheets. As to my own lack of financial prowess: I have lost so much money these 12 months, by doing not much, that I have finally passed through the gates of bliss: I don't give a damn anymore.
