Who's the Brazilian?
The Brazilian mistrust big institutions and government.
The Brazilian is an individualist.
Although democratic by nature, they are class conscious

See the paradox.
In one hand they mistrust big institutions (this includes big companies) and government and want to collectively show their voice and their weight.

But they are individualist.

Although democratic by nature, they have a conscience of the class they belong. Thus (and here comes the answer to your question) they do not want to belong to a movement, where the African part of the nationality shows off, as the negro going in a rampage.
That is why the violence of hoodlums taints the movement.

The only civilization created in the tropics out of the jungle and Mediterranean whites, Africans and native Indians.

Who's is behind the "spontaneous" protests in Brazil.

I believe someone high jacked this public transport movement to torpedo Dilma's government.
