Question #2 Do their competitors have any proprietary expertise that we longs should be concerned about? From the tone of your previous posts it appears that Coms is at the leading edge in this market. As I posted on the "Ghost" post, your acerbic responses are a cross between Bruce Willis and Don Rickels! Continue as you have... TAKE NO PRISONERS!

Yes..and no..well you could say 56X2 is a proprietary tchnology....if that is your question...now
owning a modem manufacturer can have this advantage for 3com... If you sell remote access solution...you use your own modems with it
Time to market, integration, QA and shipment costs can be avoided, so does the profit margin that needs to go to an
external modem manufacturer.
Integration, management and support become very important for ISP that are using these huge modem pools...
MCI, AOL, and netcom are some examples of companies that are using all coms remote solutions...
Bay networks is now moving towards using the X2 modems from USR for their remote access products..(they are in a law suite wiht ROK)
