You're talking about "intelligent design" for the ENTIRE universe, not just the Mir space station. And even if there WAS some great intelligence that designed the big bang and the universe I doubt that they could have or even have wanted to design some special HUMAN race that would be PLANNED to appear some 14.99 billion years INTO their great design. And I've seen a LOT of the Human Race and as far as what I've seen I don't think it's something this brilliant intelligence would want as its FINAL product.
