Gary:

Thank you for the response.

It looks like 3Dfx is safe for at least a few years, and who knows that a company like Intel won't just try to buy them?

Merry Christmas from TDFX

Gary, Piranna -

Thanks for all your technical expertise in evaluating the
great potential of this Long Term Investment over the last
six months. I guess we can now stop doing the store count
of the TDFX Voodo boards:)

Regards
Tomas

Gary,
Someone on the TDDDF posted a link to CNet, which released recent Intel news that their i740 3D chip is due to be released in Feb.
The article stated that the chip was powerful, but ran "hotter" than the other high end chips. evidently, the heat generated is a negative. If, in fact, you still believe that the i740 is "only slightly better than Voodoo 1", then the new intel chip shouldn't be a big concern for us. The article did mention that Intel's upper hand could be in the fab availability area , as the smaller players are having difficulty getting enough fab to meet demand. They believe that they can crank them out, so to speak. Check out the link and I will be interested in hearing your thoughs.....You have been very insightful thus far
Much appreciation,
Mike
